This course offers an in-depth analysis of advanced thermal management and cooling system design for electric motors. Utilizing ANSYS Fluent as the primary computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tool for robust thermal study, the course guides participants through a highly accurate, two-way coupled multi-physics workflow. Students will learn how to seamlessly export electromagnetic power losses from ANSYS Maxwell into ANSYS Fluent, perform comprehensive thermal modeling, and map the resulting temperature distributions back into Maxwell to accurately account for temperature-dependent material properties. By integrating these dynamic, two-way coupling techniques with the practical, hands-on implementation of cooling system designs, this course equips engineers with the critical skills required to evaluate, design, and optimize the thermal performance of modern electrical machines.
